Free Tetris

It was about 25 years ago, when this puzzle game became available to the public. Tetris was developed by a mathematician. Soon it became embedded in our collective consciousness, one of the most entertaining little games ever created.

Free tetris has been downloaded over 150 million times in the past few years alone, and this doesn't even include all the various rip-offs which have been released. Its recognized as being on the same level as Super Mario, or even the newer Grand Theft Auto. It actually started out as a computer game only available on PC, but soon it was compatible with the nintendo game boy. This expanded the gamers audience and it became a superstar.

Its really based on a simple concept, with tetra blocks falling down the screen, your job being to stack them in lines to keep it from piling up and ending the game. It continues to get faster and faster, until you can't handle the pressure. The serious gamers know what its like to stare at the screen for hours, only breaking away to eat some pizza.
