Who really invented tetris?
There has actually been a huge fight over who created the masterpiece. That's because at the time, the founder of tetris could not get a patent, as he lived in a communist regime. So he was kinda screwed in that department. Here is a picture of the man, who never received true credit (or cash) for his invention. But at least he entertained all kinds of people, even though they never knew who he was. Hmm.. was this a fair trade?
Well, he does look pretty happy in this picture. So we're going to assume the man who created the game is not living a bad life or anything. Infact he's received some recognition recently, such as on this website. Plus, he's been involved with companies like nintendo developing all kinds of new puzzle games.
So just for the official record, Alexey Pazhitnov was the original creator, and we are giving you props right now. Thank you for providing the most addictive and maddening video game ever to grace a screen!
